Published today: a study on the audience feedback and economic impact of “Rahamaa” (“Business As Usual”). It is the award-winning, continuously sold-out Eesti Draamateater theatre production that premiered as part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024. The study was written and designed by me, based on feedback from 550 theatre-goers and data analysis/feedback by a small project team.

It was hard work, and fun work, right from developing the survey and collecting data last summer to writing and designing this 20-page study this May.

As a designer, I challenged myself to continually look for ways to visualise data to tell visual micro-stories about various aspects of the theatre experience.

As an author/editor, I enjoyed having a big pool of comments from theatre-goers that could be used to make the quantitative stuff more lively and illustrate the various user experiences people had at “Rahamaa”.
